Qualification Must have a BSc/B.Tech Quantity surveyor Degree 3-6 years experience multidisciplinary (Civil’s or building etc) experience Must be registered with SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (Pr.QS) Duties Facilitate and oversee all Quantity Surveying tasks related to stages 1 to 6 of the project lifecycle, as per standard industry norm and acts. Populate lifecycle cost models. Assist with procurement/appointment processes, ensuring that all stages including per-qualifications, enquiries, Bills of Quantities, adjudications, awards and contract preparation are performed effectively Ensure that project cost variances and change control processes are effectively and pro-actively managed Ensure that cost management and valuation work is managed effectively Preparation of monthly valuations and cost reports, and presenting same to the client Value engineering, risk management and life cycle costing where applicable. Formalizing, implementing and administering contractual agreements with suppliers/contractors. Ensure compliance to contractual terms and conditions. Assessment of contractual claims and disputes. Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed timeously.
