The Royal Portfolio's head office team is seeking a talented and dynamic PR Specialist from within in the Hospitality industry, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury hospitality, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in the role, and a love of writing. This individual will be responsible for executing strategic PR initiatives to enhance the reputation and visibility of our group.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR campaigns to promote the hotel group's brand image, key messages, and unique offerings.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers and key stakeholders to secure positive press coverage and media placements.
- Create compelling press releases, media kits and other written materials to communicate key announcements, events and initiatives.
- Co-ordinate press visits, media events and fam trips to showcase our properties and cultivate positive relationships with media representatives.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing regular reports and insights to senior management to inform PR strategy and decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales and Events teams to align PR efforts with overall business objectives and promotional activities.
- Serve as a Brand Ambassador and spokesperson for The Royal Portfolio, representing our values and standards in all communications and interactions.
- Respond promptly and professionally to media inquiries, interview requests and crisis communications situations as needed, including the drafting of crisis holding statements and the distribution thereof to relevant stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends and innovative PR techniques to continuously enhance the effectiveness of our PR efforts.
- Maintain effective media exposure globally through the assistance of our appointed PR agencies.
- Work alongside Social Media Co-ordinator and Wildlife Content Creator to ensure content across all social media platforms aligns with PR Strategy and Content Calendar.
REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Public Relations, preferably within the hospitality or luxury lifestyle industry.
- Proven track record of successfully executing PR campaigns and securing exceptional, high profile media coverage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong existing relationships with local and/ or international media contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts and stakeholders.
- Creative thinking and strategic mindset, with the ability to develop innovative PR initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and PR software/ tools.
- Experience managing social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) for business purposes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally and work outside of standard business hours as needed.
