Pricing Actuary - - Johannesburg

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a Pricing Actuary to join their team in Johannesburg. We are looking for a skilled professional who can develop and implement pricing models and strategies for accurate and competitive insurance premiums. In this role, you will collaborate with underwriters, data scientists, and other stakeholders to analyze market trends, evaluate risks, and provide data-driven pricing recommendations. Additionally, you will support the underwriting and sales teams with insights and optimization strategies to drive business performance and profitability. Responsibilities Lead and manage all pricing activities in in the Life and Health field Develop best-in-class bases and assist in product development Improve operational performance through tools and processes Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in the (re)insurance industry Build and maintain client relationships from a technical perspective Requirements Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Life insurance industry within Pricing & Product development Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel Experience in coding is desirable Excellent technical, analytical, and modeling skills Ability to work independently and take accountability Keen attention to detail and high standard of work Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects Networking and relationship-building skills Strong decision-making abilities Benefits Salary negotiable Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move today Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
