As a Pricing Specialist at Swift WL, you will play a key role in developing pricing strategies, negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers, and optimizing transportation costs to ensure competitive pricing for our clients. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to analyze shipping requirements, evaluate transportation options, and provide accurate and timely quotations to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry. Pricing Strategy Development: Develop pricing strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends. Analyze pricing data, competitive intelligence, and market trends to identify pricing opportunities and risks. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing models and promotions to drive revenue growth. Rate Negotiation and Supplier Management: Negotiate competitive rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and other service providers. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure reliable service. Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as necessary to ensure service level agreements are met. Transportation Cost Optimization: Evaluate transportation options including air, sea, rail, and road freight to optimize costs and transit times. Analyze routing and mode selection to minimize transportation expenses while meeting client requirements. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings in logistics operations. Quotation Management: Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for clients based on shipping requirements and calculated costs. Review and analyze client contracts, tariffs, and pricing agreements to ensure compliance and profitability. Collaborate with sales teams to support pricing negotiations and address client inquiries regarding pricing and quotations. Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain pricing databases and systems to track rates, tariffs, and market trends. Analyze pricing performance metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness of pricing strategies and make recommendations for improvement. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management to communicate pricing insights and recommendations. Qualification in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in pricing, procurement, or related roles in the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in pricing calculations and quotations. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
