Our client is seeking a dynamic Process Engineer with a keen focus on Injection Moulding Preforms to join their dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to manage the performance, quality, efficiency, and reliability of cutting-edge IM-PET machinery in a thriving production environment. If you're passionate about driving optimization and enhancing manufacturing processes, this role is your chance to make a significant impact. - Safeguard the operational integrity of all IM-PET machines, ensuring adherence to the highest safety and efficiency standards. - Champion the production of superior quality products by optimizing processes and overseeing material readiness. - Conduct minor repairs and contribute to the continuous improvement of moulding machines and manufacturing processes. - Collaborate with the Production Manager and Process Technicians to develop and deliver comprehensive training for machine operators. - Engage in Tool Design Reviews, advocating for enhancements to elevate the manufacturing process. - Utilize analytical prowess to refine existing procedures, employing Six Sigma and other methodologies for measurable improvements. - Foster a culture of excellence in housekeeping, ensuring a pristine and safe work environment at all times. - Deep technical understanding of High-Speed Injection systems and a Post Matric qualification in a technical field, preferably Electrical or Mechanical. - A strategic mindset complemented by at least 2 years of hands-on plastics processing experience, with PET being highly desirable. - Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to cultivate a positive team atmosphere. - Exceptional problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven track record of effectively training technical personnel. - Proficient in time management, capable of prioritizing tasks and projects autonomously. - Flexibility in work schedule and the ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes. - Computer literacy, particularly with applications like PowerPoint, Excel, and Access, and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
