To coordinate and execute Process Engineering Services as required by the Company, including process design, procurement support, plant erection support, commissioning, performance testing and evaluation, and after sales services within agreed constraints of time, cost and quality and problem solving at all levels Functioning as part of a team under guidance from a subject matter expert for Water, Waste and Energy, including interacting with mechanical, draughting, civil, electrical, control and instrumentation engineering disciplines. Interpretation & Implementation of Client Requirements and Specifications Process design development through careful selection of process treatment technologies based on the Company design guidelines and good engineering practice. Providing cost-effective solutions whilst ensuring technical compliance with client requirements. Preparation of an engineering design package for tenders and or projects, including Process Flow Diagrams, Design Calculations, Mass & Energy Balances, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Equipment Schedules, Process Datasheets etc. Represent the company during meetings with potential customers, vendors and subcontractors Participating in HAZOP/HAZAN studies, value engineering exercises and design reviews with internal /external clients. Preparation of all process related Design Study documentation Preparation of Technical Specifications of equipment for Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders To arrange and coordinate any supplementary requirements from external consultants, vendors or subcontractors Technical evaluation of vendor proposals and recommendations Discuss technical clarifications with client Preparation of Performance Test Procedure, Commissioning Plan and Operating and Maintenance Manuals. On site construction verification, punching and sign off Commissioning, including documentation preparation, pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning activities and troubleshooting. Performance testing and reporting. Operator training and compilation of training manuals Keep up to date with latest technologies, design tools & guidelines and developments inside the Company, in the water treatment field and from local / international suppliers To check, upon request, the work of process engineering colleagues in the department To direct investigations into problem areas arising with work in the office and at site and to endorse solutions To ensure the implementation of company standards and develop and maintain a reliable engineering base To ensure the application and maintenance of departmental systems and procedures Writing of technical reports Desired Skills: Water Waste Energy Desired Work Experience: 2 to 5 years Desired Qualification Level & Accreditations: Degree Engineering Council of South Africa About The Employer: Our global operational expertise across industrial hazardous and non-hazardous wastes enables us to develop an industry specific waste management plan and implement the most optimal waste management solution.
