Reference: CPT000661-CV-1Our international client in the pharmaceutical industry who is based in Brackengate, Cape Town has a vacancy for a Procurement Agent.IMPORTANT: This is a 6-month contract position for someone comfortable to work remotely. So you do not need to stay within traveling distance from the site. Job purpose:The Procurement Agent is responsible for the execution of sourcing support and purchasing support activities within a specific region, country, or site in support of manufacturing operations or product development. The role is responsible for executing various value-add operational and transactional activities to meet business and/or project objectives.The Procurement Agent has knowledge of business enterprise tools (e.g., SAP) and the overallprocurement process/methodology, such as documenting requirements, conducting analysis and negotiations, the purchase-to-pay process, and communicating with stakeholders and suppliers.By efficiently and effectively supporting the procurement process end-to-end and providing high levels of internal customer service, the Procurement Agent ensures that internal stakeholder expectations are satisfied. Core Accountabilities: Supporting the effective procurement of products and services in a timely and efficient manner. Maintaining master data: materials, suppliers, and workflows. Supporting the Procurement organization to ensure that all relevant documentation is complete and available in SAP (for example RFP, scoring tools and results, Signature Sheets, Contracts, SoWs). Providing operational procurement support as assigned by the Team Lead (for example support to supplier data entry blocked invoice resolution, or MyBuy purchase requisitions). Working with team members and business partners to mitigate any Procurement and/or business issues and help achieve agreed business goals. Executing operation procurement activities in line with a responsible Procurement approach while using tools, processes, policy setting, and enforcement in alignment with DOP business processes. Contributing that established targets and metrics on customer service are delivered. Track and monitor these metrics where required, and escalate issues as they arise. Optimizing processes in order to increase quality and efficiency standards. Personal Accountabilities Training – Perform continuous professional development activities and ensure up-to-date training in processes and systems relevant to the position. Education, experience, and skillsRequired: University-entry diploma. Skilled on SAP. Business level fluency in English as well as the primary business language of the site(s). 2 years of procurement operational purchasing or procurement support experience. Experience with enterprise IT systems and procure-to-pay tools. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Skilled in Google tool suite. Effective interpersonal skills. Good communication written and spoken. Desired: University degree in a business-related study. Life Sciences experience. 5 years’ experience in operational/tactical Procurement processes. Experience with enterprise systems and procure-to-pay tools and eSourcing tools. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good communication written and spoken.
