Currently seeking a procurement manager for a leading heavy lifting company based in Germiston. Procurement management Manage sourcing of engineering products and services Review requisitions (accuracy, correct parts, sample.) Request and manage quotations and place orders with relevant suppliers Monitor process from quote to order and subsequent delivery Create initiatives aimed at reducing total cost of ownership of products and services Manage the steps in the purchasing cycle e.g., inspections, receipt, distribution, analyzing invoices and closing the order with maintaining files and records. Make recommendations on purchasing policies and procedures-ISO9001. Recommend and motivate alternative products, services and suppliers Ensure continuous supply of Products and services with the right quality and best price Maintaining an inventory and emergency stock Purchasing of company vehicles Managing the service and repairs of company vehicles Reporting on jobs done at workshop. Prepare estimates on repair costs for jobs in the workshop Issuing and authorizing PO Manage breakdown orders Supplier Management Monitoring Supplier performance based on prices, quality lead-times, technical capability, improvements, responsiveness, accurate delivery and best overall value Applying best practices for sourcing of new suppliers and developing current suppliers Build constructive business relationship with suppliers and Branches Increase BEE spend with suppliers Negotiate using various procurement strategies aimed at improving the price that we pay for goods and services Manage SLA and supplier price increases Review suppliers annually as per ISO9001 Logistics Good understanding of Imports Good understanding of Export procedures and regulations Planning deliveries to branches Managing drivers Diploma in Purchasing or Equivalent At least 5 years procurement experience in heavy Equipment buying Proficient in Excel Shipping and logistics experience beneficial Working under pressure Able to Adapt and a fast learner CTC – R780 – R850k includes: Car Allowance 13th Cheque Medical Aid Pension Fund Annual Incentive
