Procurement Manager (JB4282) Randburg, Gauteng R45 000 to R50 000 a month Benefits Permanent As a Procurement Manager at a large and established Courier Company, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process within the organization, ensuring efficient sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of goods and services required for business operations. You will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs, develop and implement procurement strategies, and establish vendor relationships to optimize costs, quality, and delivery timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and a thorough understanding of procurement best practices Minimum Requirements: Own vehicle Tertiary qualification in procurement and/or Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity Demonstrated ability to develop and execute procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships effectively Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize procurement processes and outcomes Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as familiarity with ERP systems for inventory management and procurement automation Strategic thinking, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing procurement challenges and opportunities Duties and Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements Supplier Evaluation and Selection: Assess supplier capabilities, performance, and reliability to determine suitability for meeting organizational needs, conducting due diligence as necessary Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring clarity of terms, compliance with legal requirements, and mitigation of risks Cost Optimization: Analyse pricing trends, market dynamics, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements without compromising quality or service levels Inventory Management: Oversee and optimize operations within the stationary and uniform departments of the organization Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across departments such as finance, operations, and legal to understand their procurement needs, provide guidance on procurement processes, and facilitate effective communication and alignment Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and evaluate procurement performance metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times, preparing regular reports for management review Equal opportunity: All backgrounds are welcomed, with no bias.
