If so, then we are looking for you The purpose of the role : Manage and coordinate the procurement team optimally to meet the business objectives. Finance, Risk and Compliance; Implement business plan, track and monitor operational, capex and labour budgets. Implement internal control and risk management framework within agreed risk parameters. Implementation and maintenance of risk control measures to minimise liability. Implement and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures. Implementation of all cost reduction initiatives within area of control. Ensure compliance with: Relevant Legislation & Corporate Governance Company policies & procedures BBBEE Manage the assurance of employee and supplier compliance to all policies in accordance with Leadership expectations. Control procurement spend and ensure a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs. Provide feedback on cost saving initiatives in area of control. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of organizational standards, policies and procedures within span of control and monitor implementation to ensure compliance. Manage the Company's risk exposure through identification, implementation and maintenance of risk control measures to minimize liability. Strategy Implementation, Management and Business Performance Implementation of models that increase efficiencies and operational standards of excellence. Execute on agreed turnaround times while curbing costs. Ensure successful implementation of department strategy and objectives that is aligned to the organisational strategy. Implementation of strategies that will ensure retention of market share. Procurement Manage the engagement, change management and continuous improvement related to implementing procurement transformation into the business. Work in conjunction with the business to develop and meet annual procurement targets, financial targets, and value delivery. Ensure that there is an effective procurement filing system, and that all documentation is filed accordingly to aid in future reference. Carry out market analysis to keep up to breast with industry prices. Collaborate with key personnel to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company. Minimize stock holding value and ensure that the procurement department buys according to operational requirements. Ensure that overdue orders are expedited. Assist with tenders as and when required. Manage stock levels. Identify redundant stock, ensure that it is recorded and reported. Ensure values are accurately determined in accordance with market related pricing structures. Management of Supplier Liaison and Communication Conduct a benchmark and evaluation on suppliers regularly. Meet with suppliers in order to appraise existing and new suppliers. Develop and monitor a pricing analysis as and when required. Devise fruitful sourcing strategies and maintain good relationships with suppliers in order to secure favourable prices and terms. Build and maintain profiles of supply market and key suppliers (current and potential) and provide information to business management on market trends, commodity cost drivers and cost control strategies. Management of Data Integrity Compile and submit monthly progress reports to Head of Finance. Run exception reports and correct if necessary. Conduct document control checks. Forecasting for future business activity. Leverage the company's contractual templates together with knowledge of contract law to guide the development of accurate and updated terms and conditions, as well as procurement policies. Grade 12. BCom Degree in Supply Chain Management. Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Accreditation Minimum: 8-10 operational experience in a procurement environment. Minimum: 3-5 years managing a procurement team. Time management and ability to meet deadlines. Verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. Problem-solving and decision making. Proactivity and self-direction. Interpersonal skills. MS Office (Intermediate to advance level). Market related. Apply Now
