We're seeking a Procurement Officer interested in joining a super fast growing, supplier of food products, in Malmesbury Region, Western Cape . Despite being really large, the company is family owned, and places a huge premium on traditional values such as humility and respect. Manage entire procurement process. Maintain and develop strong relationships with Suppliers. Recognize purchase needs, approach suppliers for quotes, raise POD on chosen suppliers, ensure timeous delivery. Supplier contract negotiation (prices; rebates; discounts; payment terms). Responsibility for portion of stock. Reporting on the Purchase dept, orders, projected cashflows etc. Maintain, develop, and introduce Purchase SOP's and Controls. Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably B Com Supply Chain, or similar. Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role. Team player, passion for people, entrepreneurial mind - set, self starter Negotiation skills. ERP knowledge - Evolution a plus - other applicable packages might be Syspro; SAP; AccPac; SAGE etc. R360,000 - R480,000 per annum very dependent on experience and qualifications.
