Who’s who in the tech space The position reports to the Group CPTO The Role We are looking for a Customer Data Product Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is at the heart of our ambition to harness the power of customer data to drive business strategy and outcomes. You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business, engineering teams, and data scientists to define, develop, and execute a comprehensive customer data product roadmap. Your responsibilities will include the following Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define a holistic strategy for leveraging customer data to achieve business objectives. Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize, plan, and execute the development of customer data products and capabilities. Inform build vs. buy decisions on technical solutions, balancing cost considerations with speed to market and strategic fit. Assist stakeholders in defining and tracking Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for their data initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Manage the customer data product lifecycle from concept through launch and beyond, incorporating feedback and evolving requirements. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the ecommerce and customer data spaces. Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of customer data products. Advocate for data governance, quality, and compliance standards within the organization. Attributes required: A solutions-oriented, can-do attitude and high-energy Strong analytical and critical thinking, using data to inform decisions Ability to identify areas of improvement in current processes Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high-quality, innovative, clean solutions Requirements A Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience requirement must be met. Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, ideally within an ecommerce or data-centric organization. Strong understanding of customer data platforms (CDP), single customer view (SCV), data management practices, and analytics tools. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build consensus. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and working with technical teams. Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Ability to make informed decisions quickly, balancing the needs of the business with technical feasibility. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
