The Product Manager must obtain an adequate understanding of theproduct,its competitive position worldwide by product category aswell as locally by product category. A strategy must be put inplace to build and/or increase demand by creating awareness and creating effective solutions for the target market. Incentives,promotions and deals should be designed for the sales cunsultants as well as for the targeted database. Where applicable, partnershipprogrammes be put inplace and key accounts must be identified. Trainingprogrammes may be needed for the resellers aswell as for the salesteam.The Product Manager must ensure knowledge is disseminated via product write-ups and press releases. Review of the product's performance must be done daily and more specifically with Salesmanagement on a monthly basis. A budget forecast per branch is made on an annual and on a rolling 3 month basis. Capitalise on opportunities presented. Finding new markets for your products Understanding where your competitors are vulnerable Monitoring your competitors product innovations Influence the company's ability to deliver value to customers Make fact-based decisions regarding marketing strategy on money spent ,i.e. what has been a sound return on investment Maximising marketing spend available from Vendors Design effective, cost-efficient implementation programmes Timeously supplying proof of execution of activities Understand the Vendor's key areas of focus and ensure the company's strategy is aligned with the same Focus on understanding company's cost structure and cost position relative to competitors Identify Vendor's and company's strategic objectives, target the market selected. Assist in general support of the sales team in overflow situations Offer assistance to customers to find the best products/services for their needs; Stay up to date on all products and services offered; Provide exceptional customer service and enhance productivity level; Engage customers in a professional manner; Occasional channel market visits to check on merchandising disciplines and to offer training in-store Communicate daily with management about sales and customer issues; Act as lead account person for all day-to-day operational issues for selected Key account/s. This Proven branch management experience, in the ICT Sector (or similar role) Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practises Ability to meet sales targets Familiarity with industry's rules and regulations Excellent organizational skills Results driven and customer focused Leadership and human resources management skills R16 000.00 startup basic salary Commision insentives Apply Now
