Product Owner (PO) for a Logistics company is a critical member of the leadership team who manages the entire product development process within the organization across the global business. The PO is responsible for communicating with all business stakeholders and the development team to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives. The PO will research and determine the market' needs to pitch ideas for product features to the stakeholders in line with the COO's vision. You will act as the bridge between the development team, COO and business, defining product requirements, managing the product backlog, and prioritizing features. Your role is instrumental in delivering an innovative, valuable in-house product for the global business. Key Responsibilities: Product Vision and Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision, goals, and strategy to the development team and business stakeholders. Ensure alignment between the product roadmap and the company's overall objectives. Backlog Management: Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, including user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria from the user story map Continuously refine and prioritize items based on customer feedback, market trends, and business needs. Requirements Definition: Collaborate closely with all stakeholders, including customers, business analysts, and UX designers, business owners to gather and document product requirements. Ensure clear, detailed, and actionable user stories are available for the development team. Release Planning: Work with the development team to plan and execute releases from the user story map, including defining sprint goals and coordinating release activities. Determine the scope and content of each release based on business value and priorities. Team Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact between the development team and business stakeholders, including external customers and internal users to facilitate communication and feedback. Attend and actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. Ensure iterative reviews are demo'ed to all stakeholders. Customer Focus: Understand end-user and customer needs and represent their interests throughout the product development process. Continuously gather feedback from users and stakeholders to improve the product. Quality Assurance: Define acceptance criteria for user stories and validate that the delivered product meets these criteria. Ensure the quality and usability of the product from a customer perspective. Market Analysis and Innovation: Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions about the product roadmap. Brainstorm innovative ideas with business stakeholders and customers to give creative direction to development teams ualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, informatics or engineering, MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Experience: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. Knowledge of the Logistics and Exporting industry Knowledge of fresh perishable domain would be a great advantage · Solid commercial understanding balanced against technical and product knowledge. Skills: · Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. · Proficiency in product management and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello). · Analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions. · Highly motivated individual with a genuine interest in technology and a passion to deliver solutions · Strategic thinker and implementer · Creative and innovative · Comfortable with uncertainty and change · Well-developed information-gathering, planning, and organizational skills.
