Our client is searching for a Product Owner. Responsible for setting the strategic direction of and through their team managing every aspect of the products and platforms that they own, maintain existing products/ platforms. This includes the delivery of new products and platforms as well as maintenance and enhancement of existing products and platforms across the full lifecycle. Their client customer value and lifecycle management has largely replaced old fashioned credit management as a tool to minimize risk and improve profitability within a business. Purpose of Role: Maintain existing products / platforms Enhance existing products / platforms Creation of new products / platforms Product Budgets Identifying potential clients and target segments Training internal and external stakeholders Putting together product process flows for new and existing products Project Management Solutions driven Product roadmaps Product integration Data and data quality understanding Regulatory and Compliance Experience Required: 7 -10 Years' experience working as a Product Owner 5 Years' project management experience Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for making sure that they keep abreast of what is going on in the Credit Bureau and related Industries, this will cover both internal bureau and competitors' offerings Responsible for making sure that they interact with external clients to make sure that the new offerings are in line with what the clients want and will use Responsible for packaging the individual products into a solution that the sales team can take to their clients as well as understanding what the business value should be to the clients Product Description and High-Level Requirements Product Business Case Product Goals and Critical Success Factors Product Return on Investment (ROI) Regular Product Updates Product Vision Product Strategy Product Roadmap Product Backlog Management of Product Risks and Issues Product Documentation (Full lifecycle) Stakeholder Engagement Plan Product Maintenance Plan Product Feedback (Internal and External) Performing and Monitoring that Testing has been done Input into Product Brochures Sales and Marketing Training Product related client visits with sales Product Launches Product Revenue (Budget) Project Management (including plans, deliverables management, etc. Communication: The ability to communicate at all levels, the role will require the Product Owner to be able to communicate effectively with their team, a peer network of stakeholders, senior executives, technical resources as well as clients. Problem solving: The Product Owner will have to be able to assimilate information from a variety of sources, and develop a coherent product vision, product strategy, product roadmap and product backlog for meeting those needs. Quality: The Product Owner must have high personal standards and always work to deliver the very best product. Project Management: Working with the program management team and other team members, the Product Owner is responsible for ensuring that all facets of the product are delivered according to schedule. Creativity: The Product Owner must be able to create a vision of a solution which stretches the team and delivers true innovation in the market place. Leadership: The Product Owner will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team to achieve the product objectives. Those resources will be under the direction of the Product Owner for the duration of the product development lifecycle. Organization: As a regulated business in many countries, all product information and artefacts must be well managed and available. Using the Product Development Framework, the Product Owner must ensure that the product lifecycle is well managed. Roadmap Management: The Product Owner is responsible for developing and updating the product roadmap. This may require the Product Owner to interface with other Product Owners to ensure that there is roadmap alignment. Team Leadership - The Product Owner is responsible for the motivation and management of the project team. They must ensure that all team members are working together effectively, are communicating with other teams and that they are producing quality work, in line with the overall product vision Travel: Product Owners will need to travel, there will be a need to meet with stakeholders at all stages of the product development life cycle Work Hours: There is a company standard of 9 hours (8 hours work and 1-hour lunch), there may be a need to work longer hours or occasionally on weekends, but this will be managed with the product owner manager Desired Skills: Adaptability Authenticity Partnership Ingenuity Mastery Apply Now
