Reference: PS010105-CH-2A well-known industrial chemical manufacturing and distribution company requires the above to manage and drive all principals and sales within the coatings, construction and plastic manufacturing industries on a national basis. Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary qualification in a science qualification or related is preferred but not essential. Previous experience working in a Senior Product Manager role within a distribution chemical or related paints and coatings or construction or plastic raw material market is essential for this role. Previous product management experience having managed overseas suppliers for a distribution chemical and related business supplying manufacturers is essential. Previous successful experience in a Matrix organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Leading and supporting the development of strategies for the distribution business, to grow and maximize their business. Managing and driving the development of an efficient, effective, sustainable, compliant and profitable distribution business. Supporting the management of key global principals, as well as bringing on new international principals to ensure principal satisfaction, growing and maximizing the business. Developing and maintaining sustainable and profitable business within the speciality paints and coatings as well as construction and plastic raw materials markets. Obtaining and maintaining all information needed for sustainability to assess and ensure product regulation compliance. Ensuring stock availability and controlling working capital with supply chain management. Appointing new distributorships for the company. Researching and identifying potential new principals and prioritising those to target in line with the company’s business objectives and strategy. Coordinating and supporting the sales team with the introduction of new principals into other countries and regions. Managing product launches and withdrawals alongside the sales team. Monitoring business performance and margins. Communicating business development strategies for the principal’s products. Ensuring regular meetings and reviews with principals. Negotiating purchase prices and terms with international principals. Managing, coordinating and supporting all distribution business-related contracts and ensuring compliance.
