Role Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Product Procurement Specialist to join our team in Dubai, specializing in sourcing and procurement for the restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement, particularly within the food and beverage sector, with a focus on sourcing high-quality ingredients, supplies, and equipment. As a Product Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards. Experience & Qualification Criteria Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management. Deep understanding of food and beverage products, market dynamics, and supplier networks in the Dubai region. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to drive favorable outcomes and maintain positive vendor relationships. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Proficiency in procurement software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of food safety regulations, import/export requirements, and international trade practices. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Supplier Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors, and distributors for restaurant ingredients, supplies, equipment, and services. Conduct market research and supplier assessments to ensure alignment with quality, pricing, and sustainability requirements. Establish and maintain a robust supplier database, regularly updating information on products, prices, and terms. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimal value for the organization. Review and finalize procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks and resolve contract disputes as needed. Order Fulfillment and Inventory Management: Coordinate with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely fulfillment of purchase orders. Monitor inventory levels and consumption patterns to anticipate demand and prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Implement inventory management best practices to optimize stock turnover and reduce carrying costs. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Establish and enforce quality assurance standards for procured products, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards. Conduct supplier audits and inspections to assess adherence to quality, hygiene, and ethical sourcing practices. Address any quality issues or non-conformities through corrective and preventive actions. Cost Analysis and Budget Management: Analyze procurement costs, budget variances, and spending trends to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Develop and maintain procurement budgets, tracking expenditures and forecasting future procurement needs. Implement cost-saving initiatives, such as volume discounts, supplier consolidation, and alternative sourcing strategies. Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including chefs, restaurant managers, and finance teams, to understand procurement requirements and preferences. Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors, building strong relationships based on trust, transparency, and mutual benefit. Address any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders in a timely and professional manner, seeking resolution through proactive communication and problem-solving.
