The Product Specialist in Digital Mining Operations will play a crucial role in driving the adoption and success of digital mining solutions within the mining industry. The incumbent will be responsible for understanding customer needs, defining product requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective digital solutions for mining operations. Customer Needs Assessment: Engage with mining companies and stakeholders to identify their operational challenges, pain points, and requirements. Conduct in-depth analysis of their mining processes and workflows to understand how digital solutions can optimize efficiency, productivity, and safety. Product Definition: Collaborate with internal teams, including product management, engineering, and data science, to define the features and functionality of digital mining solutions. Translate customer requirements into clear product specifications and user stories. Solution Design: Work closely with the product development team to design digital mining solutions that address specific industry challenges. Provide input on user interface design, data integration, and analytics capabilities to ensure the product meets customer expectations. Product Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of digital mining solutions to ensure they meet quality standards and deliver the desired outcomes. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on the product design. Product Launch and Training: Assist in the successful rollout of digital mining solutions by coordinating with marketing, sales, and implementation teams. Develop training materials and conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on the features, benefits, and effective use of the product. Customer Support: Act as a primary point of contact for mining companies using the digital mining solutions. Address customer inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide guidance on best practices to maximize the value derived from the product. Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics related to digital mining operations. Conduct research and analysis to identify new opportunities for product improvement and market expansion. Continuous Improvement: Gather customer feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement of the digital mining solutions. Collaborate with the product management team to prioritize and implement enhancements that align with customer needs and market demands. Bachelor's or master's degree in mining engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of software development methodologies and agile practices is a plus. 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in the mining industry, digital technology, or related field . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their requirements, and convey product information. Analytical mindset and ability to translate customer needs into clear product specifications and user stories. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery of digital mining solutions. Technical aptitude to understand the underlying technology and architecture of digital mining solutions. Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues that arise during product development and customer implementation.
