PRODUCTION DATA MANAGEMENT – URGENT PLACEMENT UITENHAGE Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced employees to fill the above contractual vacancy. JOB FUNCTIONS / TASKS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Convert the clients’ Technical Product Description and Vehicle specification into the bill of materials through the application of the current Technical Language, as well as arranging the data sequence and functional structures. Execute consistency checks on the Bill of materials to ensure that all released information is correct. Negotiate with Engineers solutions to the data discrepancies which arise, code them accordingly and check the output to ensure that the problem is resolved. Analyze and evaluate all change points that have taken place and check them against the clients Bill of materials and update it accordingly (e.g. Life cycle points) Ensure all New Project Release data (e.g. “P”, “B”, “K” releases), are systemized in the Bill of materials on time to meet project milestones Assist other departments in determining unique listings or extracts required out of the bill of materials and produce them accordingly. Establish new technical rules in MBT system and access to prevent delays in vehicle orders or vehicles being incorrectly manufactured. To represent Product Engineering Administration by participating in projects to advise on engineering systems/process matters. To submit proposals for standardization, complexity reduction and cost savings wherever possible. Assist in the generation of the Process Standards and Work Instructions through liaison with other affected departments. Apply incumbent’s specific knowledge and experience in order to complete specific assignments. Requirements for the position : Previous data analysis experience preferred Diploma or Degree qualified in a business, Technical or IT field Experience with Excel and Power point, Microsoft Outlook Excellent communication skills Preference to locally based candidates Technical experience preferred.
