Seeking an outstanding Production Engineer who will diagnose problems, train staff, and provide effective recommendations. The incumbent will oversee and develop production systems in the factory. Engineering knowledge, great attention to detail, and the ability to optimise production processes are necessary skills for this role. Plan, manage, and oversee production Plane and manage plant and facilities Design and implement cost-reductive changes Develop and draught an improved production process Maximise productivity of machinery and workers Assess and analyse current production methods Determine which equipment will be used and where they will be stationed in the facility Follow product specifications and quality control measures Train, supervise, and manage production line workers Ensure the production line is adequately staffed Increase speed and efficiency of processes Ensure all steps of production run efficiently Develop and implement quality control measures Educate employees on proper methods to operate machinery Diagnose breakdowns and troubleshoot problems Hire technicians to maintain equipment Work within set budgetary plans for the project Follow all safety rules and regulations Communicate with clients and suppliers when necessary Show moral courage, openness, and honesty in all dealings Engineering Degree or BTEC Professional Level 5 5 years' experience in planning and designing processes Membership of an Industry related Professional body would be advantageous Demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD In depth knowledge and experience of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Lean Manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma Experience of New Product Introduction, reworking design changes and upgrades through to production Experience of managing a team KPIs: Improves product quality and reduces costs Improves manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout Assures product and process quality by designing quality testing methods Analyses and reports on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management People Management: lead, support, and guide Teams - ensuring smooth workflow with maximum output Relationship Management: liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers, and other service providers Market related
