Purpose of the roleThe main purpose of the role is to manage and lead the production team at by ensuring effective utilisation of the key resources to ensure the business needs are met.
The individual is responsible for safety, productivity, quality, resources, and reliability within the production department.
Responsibilities not limited to- Ensure the maximum utilization of the resources (i.e. raw materials, people).
- Develop and track methods to reduce downtime.
- Conduct performance management of the production shifts and team leaders.
- Ensure a safe working environment and safety and housekeeping standards.
- Manage and support SHEQ initiatives and objectives.
- Manage activities within the production process and maintain set standards.
Educational Qualification Knowledge and Experience
- Min Grade 12
- Minimum 5 years' experience in management / production and / or manufacturing
- Health and Safety background
