Reference: E.L001870-BG-1Opportunity Available Our leading client in the FMCG Sector is looking to employ a Production Manager (Concentrated Products) to join their team in Humansdorp. Job Description: Plan and manage the production activities for the manufacturing of concentrated products, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as purchasing, supply chain, and quality control, to ensure the availability of required raw materials and equipment for production. Implement production strategies to optimize resources, reduce costs, and maximize output efficiency without compromising quality. Develop and oversee production schedules, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to meet production targets and customer demand. Assess and manage production risks, identifying potential bottlenecks or issues that may impact production timelines or quality. Monitor and analyse production data, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions as necessary to improve overall production performance. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, taking appropriate measures to mitigate any potential risks to employees or the production process. Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to drive productivity and enhance employee engagement. Collaborate with the engineering department to evaluate and implement new technologies or equipment that can enhance production capabilities and improve operational efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation, identifying areas for process optimization, and implementing best practices in the production process. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience of 3 years working in a production management role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the concentrated products sector. In-depth knowledge of production processes and techniques, including batch processing, mixing, blending, and packaging. Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of managing and motivating teams to achieve production objectives. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement effective solutions. Sound understanding of health and safety regulations for manufacturing operations. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and practices is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficient in using productivity software and production management systems. Negotiable
