Our client is a prominent and progressive export table grape producer and needs the services of a Production Manager for one of their divisions in the Piketberg area. The position entails the management of a production unit of ± 70 ha that must be handled as a profit centre on its own. The position includes but is not limited to the establishment and management of vineyards under irrigation as well as the relevant staff, infrastructure, assets, and activities on the farm. Requirements: At least 5 years of relevant experience in the cultivation of table grapes Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture will strengthen your application Management skills in the following facets are desired: Production - finance/cost management Assets and Loss Control - Personnel Management Training and Development - Environmental Management In addition to qualifications and experience, the following personal qualities are expected: Problem solving and analytical skills Self-motivated and self-reliant Leadership and interpersonal skills Business Insight and Orientation Communication skills Human orientation A competitive remuneration package in accordance with relevant qualifications and experience is offered.
