An exciting opportunity exists for a Production Manager at Meadow Feeds Randfontein to join our team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for: Compliance with the OHSACT and company risk programs Plan, control and administer the day to day activities of the various production departments Ensure optimum plant availability and machine life through effective and timeous equipment maintenance Specify and maintain plant and equipment safety standards in compliance with OHS Act Use innovative design ideas to streamline production processes and reduce down time Optimum utilisation of manpower and equipment in the production department Manage departmental activities, including information flow, documentation and communications Ensure optimum stock holding and efficient inventory control Ensure quality of work performed meets or exceeds acceptable standards The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: Tertiary qualification and at least relevant work experience in production environment Knowledge of a Feed Milling Plant Good understanding of Quality Systems and Risk Management Computer literate Valid Driver's Licence Knowledge of the 20 keys Programme Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Assertive, self – motivated with strong supervisory skills; Converse fluently in both English and Afrikaans
