Production/Process Manager: Print Packaging - - Durban

Skills / Experience:

Knowledge and/or experience of Package Printing Processes Material Production Process, Material Selection and Package Design criteria will be an advantage
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time with little direction.
Execute projects and initiatives in a structured and controlled manner.
Extensive knowledge of the OHS Act and Safety Management Systems (incl. HIRA).
Extensive knowledge of FSSC 22000 & ISO9001
Thorough knowledge of the use and application of papers, inks, fluids, and chemicals used in printing and packaging materials and machines will be an advantage
Considerable knowledge of quality procedures and standards

Duties

Manages the punching and stripping machine teams
Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures
Manages the punching and stripping processes of printed materials.
Shifts priority of orders and operating schedules as work requirements demand.
Reviews production requirements and writes up detailed work specifications for the department.
Improves efficiency of machines and production processes within the department.
Manages staffing and balances workloads to reduce overtime.
