Professional Accountant – Dedicated to deliver excellent financial services… The Qualified Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our clients. This role includes preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial advice to support our clients' business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other relevant standards Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making. Tax Compliance Prepare and submit tax returns for individuals and businesses Ensure compliance with South African tax laws and regulations Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients Audit and Assurance Assists with audits as required Client Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients Provide financial advice and consultancy services tailored to client needs Respond to client inquiries and provide support on financial matters General Accounting Manage accounts payable and receivable Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow Maintain and update the general ledger Regulatory Compliance Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations Ensure all financial practices are compliant with legal requirements Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls Requirements: Completed Matric – essential Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field – essential Professional Accounting Qualification (Minimum – SAIPA Preferred) Based in Pretoria – essential Strong Microsoft Excel – Advanced Level - essential 2 years experience in accounting or finance roles Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax laws and auditing standards Proficient in Accounting Software (SAGE, XERO) and MS Office Own vehicle with a valid driver's license Good reporting and communication skills Problem solving skills Highly organized Focused and performance driven Highly attentive to detail Deadline orientated Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team The Position: We're looking for a well versed Professional Accountant to be based permanently at the office in Irene, Pretoria.
