Ensure electronic control systems that provide potable water and that the collection and treatment of wastewater to the City are maintained and upgraded timeously and economically to ensure continuous supply of potable and treated wastewater of such a standard so as to meet legal requirements. Develops (PLC) application software Ensures that the branch develops and utilises appropriate technology and applies best practices in the industry so as to be proactive and reduce down time in order to minimise costs and maximise service delivery. Ensures that projects are carried out on time and meet the specifications and are within budget so that the branch can meet its service delivery commitments. Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel within the automation section ensuring a climate conducive to promoting and sustaining motivational levels, productivity, performance and improving the quality of work-life is cultivated and maintained enabling the section to meet its service delivery objections. A Btech or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 5 years relevant experience in Automation projects in the Control and Instrumentation environment and/or Maintenance Experience in Control and Instrumentation A valid code B drivers licence TCOE SALARY: R961 945 to R1 350 961 PER ANNUM
