Candidate should provide evidence of supervision of four Master’s or PhD students to completion. Associate Professor: PhD in Physics or equivalent coupled with at least ten (10) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience. The successful candidate must also provide evidence of at least ten (10) publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals/book publications / chapters in books. Candidate should provide evidence of supervision of four Master’s or PhD students to completion. Senior Lecturer: PhD in Physics or equivalent coupled with at least five (5) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience. The successful candidate must also provide evidence of at least five (5) publications in accredited, peer-reviewed journals / book publications / chapters in books. Duties: Teaching and mentoring Compilation of teaching portfolio (e.g. teaching outcomes, teaching methodology and assessment of students) Curriculum development and review Application of appropriate teaching approach/methods and rationale Resource mobilization, research capacitation and Manuscript writing Attendance of conference proceedings Supervision of postgraduate projects Participation in community-based projects Resource mobilization for community projects Participate in Senate and Senate Committees.
