Programme Manager - Johannesburg
Prepare and present project budgets to the various governance committee / bodies
within company including but not limited to CISC and EXCO as per DOA.
Set up and manage the overall programme governance, creating realistic programme goals and delivery on time, within budget, scope and quality requirements,
highlighting project critical paths and major risks, proactively identifying and
addressing project challenges and resolving project conflicts.
- Prepare and manage the subsidy budget, application process and the review of
service provider business cases for approval at various level and or committees.
- Set up the overall programme governance, applying industry best practices in
managing the project activities and creating realistic programme and project goals
and provide regular reporting on project status, track risks and follow up on
outstanding items.
- Develop a programme work plan with a clear understanding of the programme
objectives for a successful programme, manage communication channels with
stakeholder groups, explain difficult concepts and resolve issues to stakeholders and
drive consensus among the project teams.
- Oversee the work of the company Fund technical and operations team and manage
multiple and simultaneous inter dependencies end-to-end and manage the project
team, key stakeholders, external suppliers/ contractors and provide regular progress
feedback according to the company standards.
- Manage the effective execution of the Fund's operations from receiving applications,
selecting successful applications, monitoring performance of grant recipients,
generating learning for industry on best approaches to delivering residential
broadband to low-income communities.
- Ensure strict adherence to the company Access Fund Terms of Reference, and
company Capital Programme Management policies, governance, processes
and procedures.
Requirements:
Grade 12, BEng (Electrical) or similar technical qualification, Post Grad Business
Management qualification and PMP Certification.
7 years experience as a Project / Program Manager in telecoms environment, with in
depth knowledge of Project Management practise (PMBOK)
10 years experience in Telecoms industry with in-depth understanding of residential
company deployment.
