Purpose of the Junior Project Manager role is to plan, scope, lead, coordinate and control all activities around designated strategic short term and long-term projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Assisting in new product development together with the Sales and Marketing Team. Marketing- and quality related assistance will form part of the job description. Assisting in Project Planning: Contributing to the creation of project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies. Monitoring Progress: Tracking project progress against milestones and deadlines, identifying potential delays or issues, and reporting them to senior project managers. Communication: Facilitating communication between team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties to ensure everyone is informed and aligned. Documentation: Keeping detailed records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project documentation. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks to the project and assisting in the development of mitigation strategies. Quality Control: Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and conducting quality assurance checks as needed. Supporting Team Members: Providing support to team members as they work on project tasks, including offering guidance, resolving conflicts, and removing obstacles. At least 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar role within the financial, professional services, or software industries . Project Management Excellent IT skills and understanding of software development. Analytical with strong problem solving, numerical and verbal reasoning skills. Decision-making and problem-solving skills . Flexibility and adaptability. Organisational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both Afrikaans and English.
