NORTH-WEST UNIVERSITY (VANDERBIJLPARK CAMPUS) DIVISION: CENTRE FOR TEACHING & LEARNING POSITION NUMBER: N002958 VACANCY: PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR PEROMNES GRADE: P11 EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FIXED TERM CONTRACT WITH BENEFITS PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The project coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are executed smoothly and efficiently management. Supporting the project manager and team members in various administrative, organizational, and logistical tasks. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Communication 2. Project Coordination 3. Project Finance 4. Database management 5. Adhoc tasks • Diploma (NQF6) or equivalent in the relevant field. • Two (2) years' experience in project coordination. • Formal training in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, various applicable systems e.g. Management Information System. • Records management experience. ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES: • Experience working on the Kuali Financial System (KFS). • Experience liaising with international partners. KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, office procedures and terminology. • Knowledge of principles for providing customer and personal services. • Project management skills. • Financial administration and budgeting. • Effective time management. • Confident and efficient in using a range of software packages, including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Teams). • Ability to effectively liaise and communicate with the project partners. • Excellent English reading and writing skills. • Ability to prioritise ongoing administrative tasks and manage own time well, meet deadlines and delegate to team members where applicable. • Attention to detail. • Conference/ workshop/ meeting organisation and coordination. KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. • Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in the various multilingual environments of the NWU. The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
