Description Our client, a power solutions company with office in Johannesburg (West Rand and Rose Bank) is looking for a Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. Project Engineer for Battery storage, Microgrid systems – Special focus on off grid for remote luxury safari industry. We are looking for Project Engineer who will join our client's Camps Business unit. As Project engineer you will drive the project engineering reporting to the Engineering Manager and working in team with the Project Manager. Your Responsibilities: Execution of Battery storage (BESS) and Microgrid projects leading all the technical activities and coordinating the project team Proactively seek and implement improvements in the execution process. Living values of safety and integrity Be part of a team and act as a team player Support of bid & proposal team including costings Requirements: Degree / diploma in Electrical Engineering At least 3 years of professional experience Fluency in both spoken & written English is required. Good knowledge of power systems, LV, MV electrical equipment, switchgears, generation equipment is required. Knowledge of Microgrid systems, battery storage, renewable generation is considered as a plus Good knowledge of MS Office tools is required Flexibility to travel (occasionally) is required This is a full-time permanent position based in Johannesburg.
