Our client that is a leading engineering company that strives to supply customized turnkey solutions for water productivity is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Alberton. Please note this is a fix term contract for 12 months JOB PURPOSE: Managing day-to-day coordinating aspects of a project management scope, assisting the Contracts Manager with various tasks. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Determine and define project scope and objectives. Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement. Ensure projects are completed within the prescribed budget and timeline. Ensure projects are compliant with customer expectations and project specifications. TECHNICAL: Responsible for preparing technical drawings to be used in construction plans and manufacturing facilities for various industries and applications. STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress. Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables. FINANCIAL: Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements. Track project costs in order to meet budget. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (Mechanical) – National Diploma minimum. 3 to 5 years technical hands-on experience in Engineering and in Project Management in a managerial role. Project Management certification - advantageous. Must be deadline driven and time conscientious. Proficient in MS packages, i.e., Excel and Word. Proficient in CAD packages, i.e., Solidworks Must be willing to work away from home occasionally depending on Project location. Must have valid driver’s license.
