Project Manager, 12 month contract, Parktown - - Johannesburg

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Degree in Communications / Journalism / Media Studies / Project Management / related
Post Graduate communications qualification advantageous
5+ years experience in a media environment with both project management and community development experience
Valid drivers
Bursary experience would be preferred

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Management of projects including planning, organizing, staffing, leading and monitoring activities
Submitting quarterly reports and implement administration activities
Manage effective communication and develop work performance standards
Prepares and agree to the annual budget and authorize costs
Monitoring of overspending
Communicate with clients and stakeholders
Communicate with government officials
Manage the project cycle / approve site visit schedule for subordinates
Review a site visit reports and present finding summary
Troubleshoot if any challenges are detected
Maintain communication with projects, staff and external stakeholders
Manage staff performance and planning of teams future needs
