The AJP Group is a family owned business consisting of some 20 corporate entities (est. 1994). Its primary business is the retail of food and water, coupled with a medium-sized retail property component. The businesses are mostly based in the Eastern districts of the Ekurhuleni Metropolis in the province of Gauteng South Africa. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a Property Legal Advisor to join our dynamic team. Offer legal counsel and guidance on property-related matters, including acquisitions, leasing agreements, and development projects. Review and draft legal documents, contracts, and agreements pertaining to property transactions. Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for property transactions to identify and mitigate potential legal risks. Provide legal support and representation in negotiations, disputes, and other legal proceedings related to property matters. Stay updated on relevant property laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and informed legal advice. Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification. Admission as an attorney or advocate with a valid practicing certificate. Proven experience working as a Legal Advisor, preferably with a focus on property law. Strong knowledge of property law regulations and relevant legislation. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
