Position Business Analyst 2 Line of Service Internal Firm Services (IFS) Division/Group OneTechnology Location Gauteng – Sunninghill Start Date As soon as available Main Purpose OneTechnology Business Analyst – Business Engagement Assist senior analysts with the gathering of PwC business unit technology requirements and the documentation of those requirements. The focus at this level is on managing small projects and delivering the requirements specifications and project artefacts as directed by a senior analyst. The employee will understand and provide 3rd line support for certain products within the business unit product suite. They will also assist with user training, knowledge transfer to 2nd line support teams and testing. Job Description OneTechnology provides for the technology requirements for PwC’s internal service lines which include Assurance, Advisory, Tax and IFS (Internal Firm Services). Specifically, this position supports the Advisory business unit. The Main Responsibilities For The Person In This Position Include Requirements gathering, specification and implementation of changes to technology products and smaller new solution requirements Involved in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with senior analysts Management of small projects Administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of a set of technology products as required for 3rd line support User management e.g. dealing with queries, report requests, user feedback Liaising with team members and project stakeholders within OneTechnology and business units Task management and feedback to senior analysts and business relationship managers relating to assigned work Logging and documentation of user requests when funneled through the Business Engagement team Functional and system testing Data quality analysis and remediation where applicable to OneTechnology responsibility areas for products and processes Provide training of technology products to 2nd line support staff (AppOpps) and business users Documentation of help and guidelines relating to the use and support of technology products Documentation of knowledge records in the OneTechnology knowledge repository Documentation of product installation and administration routines Product maintenance e.g. applying product patching and upgrades Contribute innovative ideas for the use of technology and improvement of processes within OneTechnology and the business units Support the business unit relationship manager in achieving their targets for the financial year by contributing to the operational performance of the team Actively seek an ongoing understanding of technology and business functions as applicable to projects, products and the business unit’s function Adhere to OneTechnology methodologies, standards and processes Qualifications National Diploma, BCom, BTech or BSc focused on Information Technology / Information Systems Business analysis industry certification advantageous Experience 1 – 2 years’ experience in business analysis and project administration Exposure to the use of software and process modelling methodologies and tools Exposure to the use of project management techniques and methodology Experience in the financial services industry advantageous Job Type Permanent Drivers Licence Yes Travel Sporadic Job Grade BA2 Apply Now Apply Now
