We are looking for an accomplished QA LEAD to join their innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality assurance within the banking industry and a successful history of leading QA teams to excellence. JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATION: Job Title: QA Lead Employment Type: 12 Months contract, On-site Work Location: Sandton, Johannesburg DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Leadership and Strategy: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers. Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with the organization's goals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards. 2. Quality Assurance: Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met. Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of products to ensure the quality deliverables. Ensure that all financial software applications and systems meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. 3. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Development, Product Management, and Operations to understand requirements, provide input on technical designs, and resolve complex issues. Communicate QA status, challenges, and risks to stakeholders effectively. 4. Process Improvement: Identify, record, document, and track bugs. Develop and execute automated and manual test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures. Continuously review and improve testing processes, methodologies, and standards. EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Qualification requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a QA role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Proven experience in the banking or financial services sector. Extensive experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with both manual and automated testing. 3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in QA software tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Selenium, etc.). Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting.
