The role of the Site Quality Controller is to conduct continuing quality inspections / surveillance / testing at suppliers, sub-suppliers and site service providers if required (Within reasonable distance from Site). Implement Site Quality Systems Procedures throughout the Project. Perform formal documented site audits, reviews and surveillances prepared and issued to Project Management. Prepare / Revise / Maintain the Projects Quality Management System procedures on site. Perform Quality / Technical assessments of new tender list applicants close to the site. Assign Quality ratings to proposed suppliers close to the site. Approval of supplier sub-suppliers for Site related work. Plan Third Party involvement and liaise with the Project Quality Manager for authorization. Review Contract / Drawings / Specifications. Attend Kick off meetings to establish Quality standards / Procedures / Requirements etc. Review and approve suppliers Quality Control Procedures (QCP's) ensuring specification / Drawing requirements are fully covered. Review welders / inspector's qualifications on Site. Produce Inspection reports and distribute to Project Manager, Engineer, Procurement personnel, Project Planner and Site Construction Manager. Coordinate inspection requests from Service providers, Register and distribute requests Supervisors or engineers. Conduct inspections on site installations where Site Supervisors cannot attend. Manage Problem Log. Deal with concessions and non-conformances. Review / Approve data books and all required Handover Documentation. Sign Off Commissioning Documentation. Summarize supplier performance and feedback result to the Projects Quality Manager for updating supplier Quality rating. Assist Expeditor in terms of onsite Quality Issues. Qualifications Grade 12 or Equivalent. Level 2 SAIW Inspector. Engineering Diploma (Advantageous). Experience 2 – 3 Years' experience in a Mining Project Environment. Min 5 Years' experience in Quality Control. Extensive experience with Document Control. Knowledge and Skills Quality Management Systems. MS Office package. Supplier QA. Construction QA.
