Description REQUIREMENTS South African Citizen, currently residing in Gqeberha or willing to relocate Minimum National Diploma in one of the following engineering sciences (ND Mechanical. Electrical, Mechatronics, Metallurgy) Preferred BSc Degree/ B.Tech Mechanical/ Metallurgy or Mechatronics Engineering 3 -5 years experience within the manufacturing industry Have process and material knowledge of welding and sealer joints in body construction Sound knowledge of weld and sealer applications equipment, inclusive of monitoring systems and control A knowledge of the German language advantageous Experience in engineering packages (CATIA, CAD) advantageous ESSENTIAL SKILLS Good report writing and presentation skills Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Sound knowledge of vehicle manufacturing processes Sound problem-solving skills and quality tools e.g., Fishbone, FMEA, SPC and DOE Experience in interpreting measuring reports and technical drawings Proficiency in database software packages (MS SQL, Oracle, etc.) Assertive and have the ability to motivate Team player and able to work under pressure RESPONSIBILITIES Establishing root causes and implementing corrective actions for allocated quality problems Interfacing with various departments within the Company Present findings/ reports at various forums and management structures Liaising with overseas counterparts concerning build/ quality matters Coordinate and be accountable for quality issues Lead cross-functional teams when required Monitor and report non-conformances and processes to drive early detection and initiate corrective actions
