KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Using the CMM to measure wheels and conduct visual inspection for issuing of first-offs, SPC tracking and Capability studies.
Analyse the CMM results, inform relevant personnel on any discrepancies, raise and follow-up on containments (non-conformities), when required.
Using measuring instruments (verniers, micrometers, etc) to conduct manual measuring of significant characteristics
Support with conduct of Routine testing requirements and Product audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum essential tertiary qualification: N6 in Quality or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Quality specific training in Core Tools (eg SPC) and CSRs would be advantageous.

Experience Required:

Minimum 3 years experience in Machine Shop and at 2 years work experience in a Wheel manufacturing plant would be advantageous.
Should have thorough knowledge of the Machine Shop and IATF processes.
Thorough knowledge of Quality standards.
Knowledge of Problem Solving Methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications.
