Reference: PS010293-CH-1 A well-known and established international food manufacturing company requires the above to manage and oversee all quality assurance, leading incident management processes and holding accountability for all quality and food safety programs within the plant. Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary qualification in food or a related qualification is preferred for the role but is not essential. Previous experience having worked in a Quality Manager role working within the food manufacturing industry is essential. Must be able to work autonomously, without direct supervision. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact with multiple levels within the business as well as with external contactors and customers. Must be able to provide supervision, conduct competency assessments and deliver training. A working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous. Must be computer literate. Previous experience having worked in the application of HACCP, quality systems management, internal auditing, pest control, RCA & CAPA management if preferred. Previous experience as a Lead Assessor, HACCP level 4, Trained Trainer, Yellow Belt Six Sigma or equivalent is preferred. Risk management and validation protocols (FMEA, IQ/OQ), practical knowledge of major QSR, snack and retailer quality & food safety requirements is beneficial. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Strategically managing the performance and development of the site quality team. Leading the incident management process and providing training and coaching at site level. Holding accountability for all quality and food safety programs within the plant. Being responsible for the implementation of the EMEA, regulatory, third party and customer standards in the plant. Playing an active role as a member of the site's operations leadership team. Providing leadership on quality and food safety issues in addition to supporting operational activities undertaken within the plant. Managing the plant quality budget, implementing appropriate financial controls to ensure that spend is appropriately managed and cost saving initiatives identified and initiated where appropriate.
