Quality Manager/Welding Specialist - Vanderbijlpark

EXPERIENCE/REQUIRNMENTS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishing, Implement, and maintaining the company QMS.
Activities include the auditing of the systems & business processes.
Manage Quality Engineering, Welding Engineering, Quality Control, Calibration and HT functions.
Limit company risk by reviewing client specification at tender stage to ensure company can comply with client requirements.
Take the lead role during RCA investigation.
Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action.
Take ownership of the Technical Query and Concession processes.
Take ownership of the NCR/CD processes.
Take lead role in the development and improvement of quality control systems.
Manage department activities in accordance with agreed budgets and time sales.
Quality representative on projects.
Responsible for compilation of Quality Plan Management.
Ensure that all activities as defined by the QCP’s become part of production planning, monitored, and controlled.
Implementation of customer specific requirements.
Project Co-Ordination of all quality related activities.
Manage mechanical testing requirements in line with acceptance requirements.
Manage subcontracted NDT services.
Data file/code Data Book management.
Supplier / Sub-Contractor Management.
Audit new supplier and qualification management.
Review supporting documentation i.e., QCP’s, WPS, and Code data books.
Monitor rejections against required standards and support procurement in taking remedial actions to deal with adverse variances.
Compile monthly statistics on suppliers and engage and act promptly to resolve quality issues.
Screening, Qualifying & Training of new current welders (WQR) in accordance with various codes as required.
Generating & Maintaining Welders Qualifications in accordance with various codes.
Track & Monitor weld repair rates.
Record, Witness & generate PQR’s & WPS’s as required in accordance with various codes and client specifications.
Generate heat treatment procedures and ensure compliance.
Generate and implement Quality procedure relating to ISO 3834-2.
Maintaining ISO 3834-2 Certification.
All other duties and responsibilities as per ISO 14731 in accordance with ISO 3834-2.

Develop work instructions.
Liaise with clients.
Assist with CD and NCR system
