Mechanical and Electrical Quantity SurveyorRole Overview As a Mechanical and Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects for both internal and external clients. Your role will involve working closely with the Operations Director. Key Responsibilities Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Advising on Procurement Strategies Preparing Subcontract Documents, including bills of quantities. Reviewing Contract Conditions and reporting concerns or recommendations to the Operations Director. Procuring Subcontractors. Managing Costs on all Mechanical and Electrical projects. Undertaking Cost-Value Analysis, including cost value reporting. Performing Risk and Value Management and cost control. Identifying, Analyzing, and Developing Responses to Commercial Risks. Pricing Up Variations and obtaining agreement with clients. Compiling Program-Based Cost-to-Complete / Project Budgets. Valuing Works as they progress and agreeing on final accounts. Providing Commercial Advice to the operational team as needed. Maintaining Awareness of different building contracts in current use. Assisting senior management with the preparation of Contractual Claims. Ensuring compliance with company procedures and policies. Managing and delegating to subordinates as required. Continuous Improvement You'll contribute to the overall running and continuous improvement of the business by: Identifying problems and offering solutions. Ensuring compliance with the Company's QEMS procedures related to the business. Encouraging teamwork within and between teams, both internally and externally. Having an excellent understanding of and compliance with the QEMS processes. Desired Skills: Quantity Surveying Final Accounts Cost Planning JCT NEC Contracts Valuations Commercial risks Cost Reporting Desired Work Experience: 5 to 10 years Quantity Surveying Desired Qualification Level & Accreditations: Degree Association of South African Quantity Surveyors About The Employer: An international concern and developer in Data Centres are looking for QS's to join their large projects in Cape Town Apply Now
