The opportunity that awaits you: A well-established construction company with expertise in the rehabilitation of old roads and the construction of new roads is seeking a motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Liaising with clients to identify their needs. Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and labour. Preparing tender and contract documents. Identifying and weighing up commercial risks work to subcontractors. Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments. Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards. Submitting regular budget reports. Following health and safety regulations. Working at a client's business, in an office or on a construction site. Our required expertise: Relevant Quantity Surveyor or Engineering qualification (Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor) Minimum 3 years' experience in related field Experience on SANRAL and Provincial Dept of Roadworks contract will be advantageous Strong understanding of the CSS suite of programmes is essential among other computer operating systems Tendering exposure/involvement would be advantageous Strong communication Valid driver's license Negotiable
