SUMMARY OF OUR COMPANY AMJ Electrical Services (The Switchgear Co) was formed in 1996 to provide a service to heavy industry, light industry and commercial businesses. Our core business is the testing, maintenance, repairs and installations of low and medium voltage switchgear and associated equipment up to 132KV. PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Have initiative, energy, be self-motivated and be passionate about their work 2. Can work under pressure 3. Have good organisational skills 4. Have good communication attributes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrician, or quote estimator or capturer as per responsibilities below 2. Must have basic computer skills 3. Knowledge of electrical systems will be an added advantage THE BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL INCLUDE: 1. Get relevant information from responsible people for tenders or jobs 2. Attend site meetings for tenders or jobs as maybe required 3. Collect relevant information during site visits as maybe required 4. Get pricing from suppliers and create cost sheets 5. Complete costing and confirm with respective manager 6. Create word document quote and send to customer 7. Get required supporting documents 8. Submit all required documentation 9. Search for tenders on websites 10. Complete and submit required documentation for Vendor applications 11. Follow up on quotes sent, Pos or jobs scheduled 12. Do basic planning for resources (personnel and test equipment) to ensure optimum use 13. Assist with training or coordination thereof as maybe requested from time to time 14.
