Job Description
Reporting directly to the Team Leader, You will be responsible for maintaining customers induction furnaces, induction heat treatment and induction welders.
- Conduct systems and component inspection tests; analyse performance variations, isolate defective components and systems, repair unit failures and electrical /electronic system malfunctions.
- Servicing, repairs, maintenance and commissioning of customers induction melting, heating and welding equipment;
- Providing clients technical staff with support and training in the maintenance and repairs of induction furnaces, induction heat treatment, and induction welding equipment;
- Diagnosing unit problems by listening to client description of symptoms; conducting systems and components inspection tests; analysing performance variations; isolating defective components and systems; operating electronic diagnostic equipment and examining on-board electronic controls;
- Assisting with the installation, commissioning and repairs of electrical and electronic control systems and insulated cables
- Planning the layout for wiring systems in line with manufacturers standards
- Connecting electrical equipment to power supplies and circuit breakers
- Repairing of electrical or electronic problems in units by replacement of defective parts and component
Qualifications
- Trade Test Millwright/Electrician (with Electronics)
Skills
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years'' experience
- Experience in induction furnaces/foundry is preferable.
- Electronics experience
- A valid Drivers ''License
Salary / Package
R400K - R480K CTC per annum
