Phakisa Holdings is currently seeking a Real Estate Coordinator in the Midrand and Wadeville areas. You will be coordinating the real estate activities of our company in South Africa while also supporting the global Real Estate team as the “on-the-ground” contact point for real estate topics in Africa. Included in this are certain project management tasks in the real estate context, to facilitate for example capex expansion and relocations as and when needed. Our company is a matrix organisation, with a lean hands-on culture. The successful applicant will be comfortable as a self-starter, working in collaboration with decentralised teams and counterparts. Being able to effectively and pro-actively communicate progress and blocking points while delivering on tasks timely and with the requisite quality are key attributes for this role. Manage leased/owned premises in accordance with corporate requirements and business requirements including carrying out all internal procedures and approvals Research the market and work out best solutions for leased/owned properties Conclude/renew lease and service agreements Project management of relocation activities and capex projects Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of lease/service agreements Organize regular inspections of leased/owned premises and generally maintaining the interface into customer/ landlord representatives Eliminate detected deficiencies Constantly interact with local employees and external partners. Supervise services (if applicable, depends on situation): corporate catering mailing services access control/ cards management housekeeping parking lots other services. Organize and control maintenance of leased and own facilities Tender/ organize services by external suppliers, vendors Leased/owned facilities management Organize search for office and industrial premises Organize office relocations Organize repair works in the office and industrial premises Grade 12 A sound Degree in: Engineering sciences, Construction or related field Minimum of 5 years' experience in real estate management related activities Technical Knowledge (Excel, Reporting, Basics of financial analysis) Good communication and converse good English at professional working proficiency level. Ability to be multi-tasking in a dynamic and growing business The ability to communicate clearly with different levels of stakeholders across the business and across different countries/cultures.
