Seeking an articulate, punctual and meticulous Receptionist for a busy medical practice in Mitchells Plain. A good multitasker with administration or receptionist experience is required. Professional and polished appearance with impeccable manners Friendly and effective communicator with excellent verbal and non-verbal communication Be empathetic and respectful when dealing with patients Ability to engage in active listening and provide clear and concise information to patients Fast and eager learner who is able to handle a fast-paced working environment Methodical, organised and resourceful with the ability to multi-task with ease Adept at prioritising and scheduling tasks Proficiency in diary management, appointment scheduling and general receptionist duties Proficient on Microsoft Office with a high level of computer skills Data capturing and processing with 100% accuracy Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute with 95% accuracy Good knowledge of ICD10 codes and medical terminology advantageous Experience with Vericlaim medical software system advantageous Job Role & Responsibilities: Answering, screening, and forwarding of all incoming calls and communication Handling all front-desk queries via phone, email and general correspondence Taking messages and ensuring they are passed to the appropriate staff member in time Managing the doctor's diary and the scheduling of meetings Managing the practice diary and the setting up of patient appointments Liaising with patients, medical aid companies and hospital staff Data capturing and processing of patient data for paperless practice Attending to the doctor's urgent requests & requirements All ad-hoc receptionist and administrative duties associated with a medical practice Adhere to strict guidelines for Patient Confidentiality and General Data Protection Regulations The working hours are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm – Monday to Friday. The successful candidate must commit to a 5 day week and be available out of office hours, due to medical emergencies, as and when required. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a professional office environment Minimum of 2-3 traceable references National Senior Certificate with a Higher Certificate or Diploma pass Fluent in both English and Afrikaans Clear ITC and criminal record R8000 a month Apply Now
