Functional area: Other Onsite or Remote: Onsite Primary Skills: Country/Region: ZA City: Boksburg Location: Boksburg, GT, ZA, 1467 Company name: Epiroc South Africa (Pty) Ltd Date of posting: Feb 27, 2024 Main tasks and responsibilities: Full preparation of Regional Yearly Internal Audit Plan (including key stakeholder workshops with EGM, Divisional Management and Group Functions) Management, leading and follow-up of internal audits according to the yearly plan (scheduling, scoping, staffing, onsite auditing, audit supervision, reporting, follow-up of action plan, closing) Engage, select and manage external subject matter experts required in regional internal audits (from external audit partner firms) Identification and engagement of operational resources for internal audits within the region (Team Leaders, Team Members, Process experts), through close collaboration with General Managers and Business Controllers from each entity in the region, as well as admin Divisions Provide Regional Guest Internal Audit Team Member Training Run Regional Guest Team Leader Certification Program Provide specialized trainings to Local Management Teams, such as "Fraud Identification", "Corporate Investigations" and "Self-Auditing" Manage Regional Quality Assurance and Improvement Program, from feedback intake and analysis to execution of process improvement projects Yearly self-assessment of regional compliance towards the standards of the Global Institute of Internal Auditors Timely handle, plan and execute regional corporate investigations related to fraud or corruption Close collaboration with Divisional Management, Group Functions and VP GIAA to better understand specific risks and focus areas for own region/countries/entities. Actively collaborate with Epiroc's Internal Control Function Establish and manage a new regional "Risk & Assurance Network" with all Business Controllers and Compliance Officers in the region Conduct yearly benchmarking with Internal Audit functions of Global organizations based in the region Prepare regional monthly report for EGM Prepare regional update for the Audit Committee of Epiroc's Board of Directors (quarterly) Manage and execute projects as assigned by the VP GIAA Travel 25% of working time (extensive travel required) Experience requirements: 8-10 years of working experience in the Group or in the field of expertise, preferably Business Control/Finance/External Audit 8-10 years of team management/leadership experience in a global organization, preferably leading a diverse team (backgrounds, nationalities, functional areas, etc.) Specialist level knowledge of "The Epiroc Way" and Epiroc processes Active participant of Group internal audits and/or previous external audit experience outside of The Group are a plus Fluent in both verbal and written English. Additional languages are a plus Great communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills Excellent risk analysis skills to be able to understand and identify risks and how different internal controls work in terms of remediating these risks Good understanding of how financial results are derived and how different actions/parameters affect the results Knowledge / Educational requirements: Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Master Degree is a plus Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner are a plus Data Analytics Scripting is a plus Behaviours: Highest level of ethics and adherence to Epiroc's Code of Conduct.
