Job Title: Regional SHERQ Manager Location: Durban Industry: Packaging Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: RPO Recruitment's client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional SHERQ Manager to join their packaging company in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ) activities within the region. This role requires a strong leader who can develop and implement safety programs, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive a culture of safety and quality excellence across the region. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain SHERQ policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them Investigate incidents or accidents, analyze root causes, and develop action plans to prevent reoccurrence Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices Collaborate with management to develop and execute safety improvement initiatives and campaigns Monitor and report on key safety and quality performance indicators to senior management Liaise with regulatory agencies, customers, and other stakeholders on SHERQ matters Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and changes to regulations Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or related field Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SHERQ management role, preferably in the packaging industry Knowledge of relevant safety and quality regulations and standards Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities Proficiency in MS Office and SHERQ management software RPO is a Specialist recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
